Sergio Reguilon deals Man Utd transfer blow with Real Madrid dream and Sevilla decision

Sergio Reguilon could leave Real Madrid and was offered to Manchester United, who are weighing up their options as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eyes more transfers, but the defender has other ideas.

Sergio Reguilon does not want to abandon playing for Real Madrid and is even keen on another loan move to Sevilla for the season to bolster his hopes at the Bernabeu.

It will come as a blow to Manchester United, who had been considering a transfer as a result of a brilliant season in La Liga.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already signed one player this summer in the form of Donny van de Beek.

But it is not enough for the Norweigan who wants to see more arrivals soon.

Jadon Sancho has been top of his wish list all summer but Borussia Dortmund have made a transfer difficult and other targets could be pursued.

While Solskjaer is also keen on bolstering his defence but has ran into problems over signing Dayot Upamecano, his favoured player to partner Harry Maguire.

But he can still boost his full-backs with the signing of Reguilon, who Real Madrid have offered out.

However, according to AS, the Spain international does not want to abandon playing for Los Blancos for good.

Real are his local team and it has been his dream to play regularly for them, but he currently has Marcelo and Ferland Mendy ahead of him in the pecking order.

It is understood that this hold-up has greatly affected United's decision to make further attempts to land the 23-year-old.

Solskjaer only wants players that are 100 per cent committed to the cause, something that saw a move for Paulo Dybala abandoned last year.

Furthermore, Manchester Evening News report that they have already found a new target.

Instead, the Red Devils will up their efforts to sign Shakhtar star Vitaliy Mykolenko while Porto star Alex Telles has also been linked.

Transfer expert Duncan Castles has explained told the Telles situation in recent days, telling the Transfer Window Podcast: "United have been looking for a left-sided, left-footed centre-back and a left-back, or a full-back of some type, preferably a left-footed left-back."

"I can tell you that they've been offered the Porto left-back Alex Telles."
