Kroos undergoes tests, will likely miss Real Madrid’s next two games

Even if the midfielder escapes a serious injury, his presence in Madrid’s two games this week seems unlikely.

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has undergone tests on the injury he picked up during the team’s 2-3 win against Betis this Saturday. Madrid have not published a medical report about Kroos just yet but reports from Spain indicate that the midfielder will almost certainly miss Madrid’s matches against Valladolid and Levante with this muscle injury, no matter whether his injury is serious or not.

There’s a FIFA break after next weekend, so Kroos could use that time to recover assuming Germany coach Joachim Low decides not to include him on his squad list.

Kroos is an instrumental player for Real Madrid and it will not be easy for coach Zinedine Zidane to replace his calm presence in the midfield. Luka Modric and Fede Valverde appear ready to play alongside Casemiro going forward, with Odegaard or Isco also having a chance to feature in order to provide more creativity for the team.
