Real Madrid might not have the deepest of squads but the club are definitely succeeding on the pitch despite that.
They have won all seven of their games this season till now. Of course, there are still some players who are not performing at the level that one would expect or want them to. One such player is Eden Hazard.
Real Madrid shattered their transfer record to sign Hazard from Chelsea in the summer of 2019 for a transfer fee around €115 million. It was a justified move as well. The Belgian had established himself as a Premier League legend during his seven years at Stamford Bridge and was easily one of the best players in the world.
When Hazard arrived at Real Madrid, he was considered by many as a Ballon d’Or contender. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill since then, and a series of injuries have meant that he has never been able to establish himself at the club.
The performance against Celtic, which included a goal, had raised the fans’ hopes that he could develop into a key player this season but then he disappointed in the very next match against Mallorca. And now, Real Madrid might be looking to part ways with Hazard.
As reported by Superdeporte, Florentino Perez intends to transfer Hazard as soon as possible, even in the winter market if he manages to stand out in the World Cup in Qatar. Real Madrid already seem to have eyes on Christopher Nkunku.
It is a shame how badly it has turned out for Hazard at Real Madrid as it is pretty clear that he has all the desire in the world to succeed at the club.
But after the amount of injuries that he has suffered over the course of the past three years or so, he might no longer be capable of being the player that he once was.
