Real Madrid offered chance to sign Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has offered himself to Real Madrid as the Portuguese forward is adamant to leave Manchester United in January.

As per Spanish outlet Fichajes, Cristiano Ronaldo could set off for Spain in January as he might rejoin his former club Real Madrid. The 37-year-old has been under severe pressure at Manchester united following his latest exploits in his recent interview with Piers Morgan.

Manchester United have been left with no choice but to measure their next steps which could be a legal notice being served to Cristiano Ronaldo following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan. Erik ten Hag delayed his family holiday and remains locked in continuous discussions with CEO Richard Arnold and director of football John Murtough to discuss the future course of action.

A group of lawyers are currently evaluating the possible response and there have also been possibilities of a potential breach of employment contract which could bring in more trouble for the wantaway forward.

The Manchester manager has reportedly made it clear the player won’t have a place in his team. And it remains to be seen if Manchester United decide to wait for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to conclude. Meanwhile, Ronaldo has offered himself to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have had no urgency to welcome Ronaldo back at the Santiago Bernabeu as Carlo Ancelotti unarguably has one of the most balanced squads in Europe this season.

Los Blancos had a smooth sailing to the UEFA Champions League knockout stage and have had a neck-to-neck fight with Barcelona in La Liga. Ronaldo’s rich legacy at Real Madrid might allow him to negotiate a short-term deal with president Florentino Perez. But the chances of that happening are very slim.

Champions League football will be a priority for Ronaldo as his compatriot Lionel Messi has been enjoying a stellar campaign so far with Paris Saint-Germain.

Ronaldo’s £500,000-a-week wages might not pose a problem for Real Madrid. But he already reiterated his desire to accept a pay cut to facilitate a move. However, he has lost a significant amount of pace and has had some vulnerable moments where he has been exposed by opponent defenders.

Bringing him also could affect the team morale. So Real Madrid will have the decision to make if they are offered the reunion with their prodigal son. But the Merengues do not usually make January signings, so the Manchester United forward might need to look for alternative solutions.
