A recent report from Diario AS has offered an update on Real Madrid’s transfer policy ahead of the coming summer.
The report states the club are targeting four signings in an attempt to strengthen their unit ahead of the new season.
Brahim Diaz and Fran Garcia will be two of Real Madrid’s first signings in the coming summer, with the former coming back from a loan deal at AC Milan. As for Garcia, he has shown impressive form at Rayo Vallecano and will become a part of the squad for the season ahead.
But they will not be the only signing for Real Madrid. The club’s cornerstone project in the transfer market is Jude Bellingham. The Borussia Dortmund starlet is likely to leave the club in the summer, and the report suggests Real Madrid already have the approval of the player.
However, the negotiations are going to be tricky, with Real Madrid likely to back out from the race if the player costs in excess of €100-120 million.
Another priority in the market for Los Blancos is Gabri Veiga. The Celta Vigo emerging star could be available for just €40 million in the summer, though Real Madrid are set to face stiff competition from Arsenal. Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester City are also interested in his services.
The third player on Real Madrid’s radar is a striker. Although the club are prioritising a 2024 move for either Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe, they want to sign someone for the summer, knowing Karim Benzema is in the final stages of his career.
Harry Kane has emerged as a potential candidate, with many expecting the Tottenham star to leave the club in the coming summer. Dusan Vlahovic could be a potential alternative, though a lot depends on how much the Juventus star costs.
Finally, Real Madrid are looking to sign a new right-back, in order to add more competition for Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez. The club are likely to keep an eye on Reece James, knowing Chelsea could be under pressure to offload the Englishman.
