Journalist Tomas Gonzalez-Martin has reported via El Debate that Paris Saint-Germain are suspecting Kylian Mbappe has an agreement in place with Real Madrid.
This is because the French team has offered him the best deal in the market, which includes a three-year contract with his salary exceeding €120 million, which with bonuses, advertisements and image rights would reach €300 million over the three years.
However, so far, the French superstar has not uttered anything regarding his future destination, although many suspect that his heart is set towards Madrid.
As it turns out, Real Madrid are not really worried about the money PSG are offering.
For Florentino Perez, the crucial decision for the player is between earning more money or achieving global success in football, which would also bring significant revenue to the team. The dilemma boils down to choosing between football glory or simply prioritizing money.
Mbappe has realised that he made a mistake two years ago by continuing at PSG. His career has gone downhill and he feels PSG are the reason for it.
This is why he is thinking about joining Real Madrid, but as it turns out, the fans in the Spanish capital don’t trust him yet. They want an official confirmation, especially since his mother, who represents him, caused doubts by renewing his PSG contract two years ago just for the money.
If Real Madrid and Mbappe reach an agreement, it is believed that they will keep it a secret even though they have the right to announce it.
Real Madrid’s plan is to offer Mbappe a six-year contract with a total amount of €50 million, plus a bonus of €100 million for joining the team as a free agent.
The crucial part of the deal involves image rights, with 60% going to Mbappe and 40% to Real Madrid. It’s predicted that in the first season, Mbappe’s image rights could generate over €150 million, and this amount is expected to increase over the six seasons of the agreement.
The confirmation of the agreement will happen when both parties decide to announce it, although it is said that PSG are currently making a significant counteroffer to try to cancel the agreement.
