Speaking after the 3-2 win over Barcelona last night, Real Madrid forward Rodrygo confirmed that he will not leave the club in the summer.
With Kylian Mbappe all set to join as a free agent and Endrick also arriving from Palmeiras, there will be greater competition in attack at the Santiago Bernabeu.
As such, there have been speculations that Rodrygo could be the one losing his place in the team and might even be offloaded by Real Madrid.
There have been rumours of interest from the Premier League, with clubs like Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool understood to be admirers of the Br azilian international.
However, Rodrygo has made it clear that he is not thinking about leaving the Spanish capital club and hopes to have a long and successful future with the Merengues.
“I love this club so much. I hope my future stays here always,” Rodrygo told beIN Sport, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
Shedding light on his relationship with Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, the Br azilian attacker added: " Ancelotti? He’s like a father to me."
Despite the speculations around his future and the impending arrivals of Mbappe and Endrick, Rodrygo remains fully committed to Real Madrid and is not thinking about a departure.
Rodrygo also signed a new contract with Real Madrid in November last year, furthering his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu until the summer of 2028. So, there is unlikely to be any exit in the summer.
In 45 games this season, the 23-year-old has netted 17 goals and set up eight more for his teammates, emerging as a key component in Ancelotti’s plans.
