Real Madrid are in need of new signings.
That is not a secret. There are several positions across the pitch where they have only one good option. And in a side that has struggled with injuries, it is not hard to see why that would be a problem. Los Blancos had made a tremendous start to the season but have fallen flat as the campaign has progressed.
Striker is one such position where the club need to make an addition soon. There is not much left to be said about Karim Benzema’s qualities but it is also a fact that he has had his struggles with injuries in recent times, and spent significant time out on the sidelines.
On the other hand, Mariano Diaz has barely featured and does not seem to be a major part of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans. His contract runs out in the summer as well, and he is expected to depart as a free agent.
As reported by ESPN, Real Madrid are tracking Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus as an option to strengthen their attack. Los Blancos view an addition to their forward line in the summer as essential.
Vlahovic joined Juventus a little over a year ago and has done a decent job since then. It does feel like it might not be the best club for him to flourish though.
On one hand, Massimiliano Allegri’s side play a defence-first style of football. On the other hand, Juventus were recently handed a 15-point deduction, which means that they are unlikely to qualify for the Champions League for next season.
Vlahovic has done a decent enough job at Juventus since his €75 million move from Fiorentina, even though it might not be the best stylistic fit for him. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 18 goals and provided 5 assists in 40 appearances for the Italian giants.
