Real Madrid have traveled to Gran Canaria, as they look for their second Liga win of the season against Las Palmas, but have done so without Dani Ceballos, as he tries to force a move out of the club.
Ceballos is keen to leave for a bigger role at another team, with hometown club Real Betis likely his preferred destination, although AS Monaco have also shown interest. Ceballos asked manager Carlo Ancelotti not to included in the trip, despite being called up, in order to seal an exit, as per MD. The 28-year-old feels he is in the best shape of his life, and is not getting the mintues he wants.
One of the big obstacles will be his asking price. Real Madrid are reluctant to see him leave, given the loss of Toni Kroos and injury to Eduardo Camavinga, and are demanding a €20m fee for Ceballos. That is some way from what Betis have offered so far, and their capacity to increase that offer remains to be seen.
