Real Madrid have officially announced two massive signings this summer in Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen. There is word, however, that they have completed a third transfer as well.
The player in question indeed is Franco Mastantuono, the prodigal Argentine teenager who is often seen to be the next big thing in world football.
An attacking midfielder by trade, the youngster arrives from River Plate but will play the Club World Cup for his former team before making the move to Spain.
Speaking to the media in a recent interview, former Real Madrid star James Rodriguez was asked to give a few words of advice to Real Madrid’s latest signing on how to adapt to the club and the pressure that comes with it.
"When you arrive at Real Madrid, everything becomes much easier because you have all the great players by your side," he began, extending a sense of comfort and downplaying the challenge.
He then went on to speak on the talent the Argentine possesses in his boots and continued to transmit tranquillity over the player’s adaptation.
"This young man (Mastantuono) is also good, and when you play alongside players (like Real Madrid’s), everything becomes much easier."
"He’s a player with great quality. We hope he does well for Real Madrid," he concluded.
Mastantuono snubbed PSG for Real Madrid, and in fact, even had an agreement in place with the Parisiens when Los Blancos came knocking.
If rumours are to be believed, he could even have a starting role under Xabi Alonso but will face direct competition from Arda Guler.
In any case, it is a good problem for the manager to have multiple young talents in the same position and it remains to be seen how Mastantuono develops in the Spanish capital.
