Real Madrid have had to deal with their fair share of injury problems and continue to do so.
Just during this international break, two of their most important players in Vinicius Junior and Eduardo Camavinga suffered injuries and both are expected to remain out for the foreseeable future. Los Blancos are not the only Spanish giants facing fitness issues though.
FC Barcelona are not in a good position either when it comes to the injury front. Gavi tore his anterior cruciate ligament while playing for Spain.
The Barcelona midfielder has been ruled out for the rest of the season. That is a major blow for Xavi’s side without a doubt, as Gavi is an important part of their plans.
As reported by ESPN, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has sent Gavi a letter wishing him well. The midfielder has been offered Los Blancos’ full support.
Of course, Perez is not the only one associated with Real Madrid to extend his best wishes to Gavi. Joselu and Dani Carvajal are amongst the club’s players to post in his support on social media.
It is always sad to see a player get injured, whether they are on the Real Madrid team or the opposition. We can only wish Gavi the best of luck in his recovery and wish to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible.
Barcelona will certainly feel Gavi’s absence in the middle of the park. He is an excellent player and one with an important role in the Catalan giants’ team. Now, it remains to be seen how they deal without the Spaniard.
