Primera Liga reports

Brief reports of Primera Liga matches on Sunday:

DEPORTIVO CORUNA 1 OSASUNA 2

Czech international Jaroslav Plasil scored his first goal in La Liga with a cracking volley from the right side of the area to put Osasuna in front two minutes into the second half.

Depor looked to have earned a point when Ruben Castro helped in a header from Uruguayan striker Sebastian Taborda late in the game but Portuguese striker Dady snatched a last-gasp win for Osasuna when Dudu Aouate spilled his free kick into the net.

GETAFE 2 LEVANTE 1

Getafe fell behind when Levante striker Riga snapped home a rebound after keeper Roberto Abbondanzieri had saved his penalty in the 15th minute.

But striker B raulio struck twice in the second half to earn Michael Laudrup's side their fourth win in five games, first with a close-range volley and then with a far-post header.

Levante midfielder Inaki Descarga was knocked out following an accidental clash of heads, but regained consciousness after being taken to hospital and was reported to be out of danger.

REAL BETIS 0 ATLETICO MADRID 2

Atletico moved up to fourth spot in the table after goals from Diego Forlan and Raul Garcia earned them this win over Hector Cuper's strugglers.

Forlan put Atletico ahead when he controlled a clever lofted pass from Sergio Aguero with his chest and shot low past Ricardo, while midfielder Garcia secured the win with a fine strike in the last minute.

REAL MALLORCA 1 REAL MURCIA 1

Murcia striker Inigo put the visitors in front when he clipped in on the half volley after a catalogue of errors in the Mallorca defence.

But substitute Pierre Webo earned the islanders a point when he threw himself at an Ariel Ibagaza free kick and angled a diving header into the net midway through the second half.

RECREATIVO HUELVA 2 REAL ZARAGOZA 1

An important comeback win for Recreativo that takes the pressure off coach Victor Munoz.

Recreativo fell behind midway through the first half when Argentine striker Diego Milito scored his sixth of the season with a neat finish, but Portuguese midfielder Carlos Martins equalised four minutes later with a long distance drive.

Martins then earned Recreativo the win when he netted during a goalmouth scramble after he had missed a penalty given for a handball by Zaragoza defender Juanfran.

VALENCIA 0 ATHLETIC BILBAO 3

Athletic recorded their first league win at the Mestalla in 20 years, prompting an angry reaction from the Valencia fans.

Midfielder Fran Yeste put Athletic in front 12 minutes before the break with a superbly struck curling free kick and striker Fernando Llorente made sure of the win with a fine second-half double.

VALLADOLID 2 VILLARREAL 0

Villarreal missed their chance to stay in touch with Real Madrid at the top of the table after they slipped to their first defeat in five games against a sharp-looking Valladolid.

Striker Joseba Llorente put the home side in front with a powerful header in the 18th minute and former Villarreal striker Victor made sure of the win when he steered in a fine cross early in the second half.

Played Saturday:

ALMERIA 1 SEVILLA 0

An injury-hit Sevilla slumped to their third defeat in a row after Almeria's Peruvian defender Santiago Acasiete headed home three minutes from time.

Sevilla dominated most of the game but were denied by some inspired goalkeeping from Diego Alves and had to play most of the second half with 10 men after influential wingback Daniel Alves was sent off after collecting a second booking.

ESPANYOL 1 BARCELONA 1

Barca made an impressive start at Montjuic, Andres Iniesta putting the visitors in front in the sixth minute after an electrifying run by Argentine international Lionel Messi.

But Frank Rijkaard's side were unable to take advantage of their domination and Espanyol substitute Ferran Corominas equalised 22 minutes from time to deny Barcelona their second away win of the season.

REAL MADRID 3 RACING SANTANDER 1

Real skipper Raul helped his side extend their perfect home record this season with a neatly taken double.

The 30-year-old striker put Real ahead when he steered in after a slick counter-attack and the home side found themselves 2-0 up five minutes later when Racing defender Sergio Sanchez turned the ball into his own net.

Raul took his tally for the season to eight with a rare goal from a free kick midway through the second half, while a willing Racing pulled one back when former Real Madrid striker Pedro Munitis scored from close range three minutes later.
