Van der Vaart delighted with "dream" Real Madrid debut

Rafael van der Vaart was delighted with his goal scoring debut for Real Madrid in Thursday's 2-1 victory over Colombia's Independiente Santa Fe.

"It was special. Everything that happened has been very nice," beamed Van der Vaart. "The goal and the assist were the icing on the cake. It's a dream debut for a player with his new team."
