Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has had Endrick Felipe available for the last six matches, but he has yet to appear in any of those.
The Br azil international is fully recovered from the injury problems he was dealing with during the early stages of the season, but for now, he finds himself down the pecking order.
Endrick had hoped to make his first appearance of the season against Getafe on Sunday, but it was not to be. Alonso opted to bring on Brahim Diaz and Gonzalo Garcia as late substitutes, which meant that the 19-year-old was left to sit on the bench for the six match in a row, and that caused him a lot of frustration.
As per Cadena SER (via Sport), Endrick was asked to warm up late on at the Coliseum, but after it became clear that he would not be coming on, he returned to the dugout. Upon doing so, he kicked a water bottle in frustration, which caught the attention of Alonso, who was not best pleased with his number nine.
At this stage, Endrick is very much behind Kylian Mbappe and Gonzalo in the striker pecking order, which has limited his minutes. This is something he cannot afford, given that he has aspirations to go to next summer’s World Cup with Br azil, which will continue to slip away if he does not play.
Because of this, there could be chances for him to leave Real Madrid on loan when the transfer window re-opens in January. Marseille have shown interest in his services, and according to recent reports, he would welcome a temporary switch to the Ligue 1 giants, which would represent a chance for him to play football more regularly in the lead-up to the 2026 World Cup.
