Real Madrid could attract a number of world class players to their side should Florentino Pérez win the presidential race in the summer, a former director has stated.
Florentino Pérez could count a number of world class players making themselves available for transfer if he wants to use them in a bid to regain the Real Madrid presidency, a former club director has revealed.
Los Merengues are due to hold elections to find a new leader at the end of the season and speculation is rife that the man behind the ill-fated Galáctico era will stand once again.
The club's director of communications under Pérez, Antonio García Ferreras, has stated that several high class players would be prepared to join should the 61 year-old take over for a second spell.
"Various world class players have made contact with Florentino," he told COM Ràdio.
With several stars linked with Madrid, rumours suggest that both Cristiano Ronaldo and Kakà could be on the list of potential superstars ready to endorse Pérez.
Despite all the speculation, Ferreras has continued to state that nothing had been decided and that the former supremo may not even enter the elections.
"Right now things are still 50-50, but he is very worried about the situation at Real Madrid," Ferreras added.
