Real Madrid go for Inter Milan fullback Maicon

Real Madrid are chasing Inter Milan fullback Douglas Maicon for next month's winter market.

Corriere dello Sport says Real are willing to offer £30 million for the Br azil international.

Real management plan to move Sergio Ramos from right-back to central defence following the season-ending injury to Pepe and intend to field Maicon on the flank if they can prise him from Inter.

Maicon is Real's No1 defensive target, with Schalke fullback Rafinha and Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic also under consideration.
