Rui Faria rejected Porto job for Real Madrid stay

Rui Faria turned down an offer from Porto to stay with Real Madrid yesterday.

Marca says Jose Mourinho's No2 was wanted by Porto to replace Chelsea-bound Andre Villas-Boas.

Porto were willing to pay a compo fee to Real for Rui Faria and also treble his salary.

But the Portuguese rejected the offer to remain at Real for the coming season.
