Italian Serie A side Lazio have reportedly rejected Real Madrid’s €25.7 million bid for Argentine midfielder Lucas Biglia, as they refuse to allow their new captain to leave before taking charge of his first match.
According to Corriere della Sera, Real Madrid formally presented their offer to the club on Wednesday, but just several hours later, the Italian side rejected the €25.7 million bid claiming that it wasn’t nearly close to the player’s market value and informed Real Madrid that should they make a revised bid, it to will be rejected.
Lazio are determined to keep their best player on the squad and have also stated clearly to Manchester United, who made an inquiry on the player’s availability, that the 29-year-0ld would not be sold this summer and the midfielder informed Lazio that he will reject all offers to stay in Rome.
Biglia has three years remaining on his original five-year contract signed upon his arrival from Anderlecht in July 2013.
