Ronaldo should stay at Real Madrid because of the things the club have given to him in the past.
That’s the view of former Galactico and Portugal star Luis Figo.
Plenty of talk has suggested Ronaldo could be on his way out of the Bernabeu this summer with a return to Manchester United a possibility.
The superstar has five Ballon d’Ors to his name, having won one at Old Trafford, and has lifted the Champions League with Real Madrid three times in a row.
Ronaldo has added a number of other individual and team honours while in the Spanish capital and Figo believes that should persuade him to stay.
"Many times, what you want or what you are going to be doesn't depend only on you but on other factors that so many don't realise," Figo said.
"But Ronaldo is at the best club in the world and I think that he should finish his career here."
"Logically for him, it has been shown that what he has gained and did in Madrid wouldn't happen everywhere."
"Madrid have also given him a lot in terms of prestige and that has also helped him to win individually."
Should Ronaldo say his goodbyes to Real Madrid, the club could bring in Br azilian superstar Neymar.
A lot may depend on who the next Real manager is with Zinedine Zidane surprisingly leaving the club last week despite winning the Champions League just days earlier.
Mohamed Salah and Kylian Mbappe are other potential replacements for Ronaldo while Jurgen Klopp and Guti are reportedly on the shortlist to become the new boss.
