Juventus frontman Cristiano Ronaldo has stopped the club from signing one of the best players from his former club- Real Madrid.
Italian champions Juventus have been on a roll in the transfer market this summer. They’ve already signed Aaron Ramsey, Adrien Rabiot and Gianluigi Buffon- all for free- and it’s looking imminent that Matthijs de Ligt will sign for them. Paul Pogba, on the radar of Real Madrid, is also been looked at by the Old Lady, who has enough to spend on the Frenchman.
Cristiano Ronaldo is also of course enjoying life in Torino, but the Portugal international is on a mission of lifting the UEFA Champions League with the Serie A giants. The Bianconeri has come close to winning the elite European prize several times of late, but they have been thwarted more often than not by Ronaldo himself.
Real Madrid, who won four of the last six Champions League crowns, faced Juventus in three of those triumphs. Ronaldo was usually the protagonist in those matches, but the Old Lady will believe that she now has the world’s best players in her roster for good. But Ronaldo needs some Real Madrid players next to him, according to Diario GOL.
But the same source has claimed that the all-time top Real Madrid goal scorer doesn’t want one of Juventus’ targeted players from the Santiago Bernabeu to sign up for the club. Isco Alarcon is the one whose arrival has been barred by the former Manchester United ace, who believes that the Spain international’s conduct is not suitable for a club like Juve.
Meanwhile, a few other players have been on Juventus’ watch-list over the last couple of months. Marcelo has been the player most strongly linked with a move to Italy, but rest assured, the Br azilian will stay in Spain. Lucas Vazquez, Marco Asensio and Casemiro are two more players linked to Juventus, in addition to Isco of course.
