Manchester City are reportedly keen on signing 31-year-old German playmaker Toni Kroos from Real Madrid in a cut-price move.
According to a report by Catalan outlet El Nacional, Toni Kroos is the subject of interest from Manchester City over a potential cut-price move in the summer transfer window. The 31-year-old German international is considering his future at the Santiago Bernabeu and could seek a final big contract with a move to Manchester City.
Toni Kroos joined Real Madrid from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2014 and has since gone on to establish himself as one of the greatest players to have ever played for the Spanish giants. To date, the veteran playmaker has made 324 appearances for Los Blancos, chipping in with 22 goals and 80 assists along the way.
However, Kroos’s long-term future is starting to become a subject of concern for Real Madrid, with the German international entering the final 18 months of his current contract at the turn of the year. Such a situation has now piqued the interest of Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola keen on reuniting with Kroos.

Nevertheless, it looks like Manchester City could be set to make a move for the 31-year-old German international, who will take a call on his future at Real Madrid at the turn of the year. That, in turn, sets up an interesting run to the summer transfer window, as far as this transfer story is concerned.
