Now that Real Madrid have sealed Endrick’s deal, the team from the Spanish capital city now want to put its head into singing a certain Jude Bellingham, reports MARCA.
As it turns out, Real Madrid have decided to alter their transfer strategy altogether in recent years with the signing of Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga being the prime example of it.
If someone wants to put their mind to it, the foray actually began way back in 2015 when Madrid signed Martin Odegaard when he was barely 16 years old. A couple of years before that, Casemiro was tested on loan before making his deal permanent in 2015.
As of today, there are several such names in the current Real Madrid roster who resonate well with the aforementioned idea like Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Federico Valverde. Hence, Madrid’s interest in Bellingham does not strike as any surprise whatsoever.
Now, there are two facets to the story, one being the previously mentioned and the second being Toni Kroos and Luka Modric’s age.
It’s a known fact that the two legendary midfielders are in the twilight of their career, meaning that once they depart, Madrid will have to dig deep to find alternatives and Bellingham fits perfectly into the scheme of Things.
But then again, the transfer won’t be a walk in the park as both Liverpool and Manchester City are also in the race. Furthermore, if reports are to be believed, the former holds the edge mostly because the player and his family want to return to England.
On top of everything, negotiating the final price for the talented midfielder will be another hustle, with Borussia Dortmund said to be insisting on €120 million. Now, as reported before, this is the kind of amount Madrid are unwilling to sanction as they are of the idea that it would jeopardise the economic stability of the club.
But then again, signing Endrick from under PSG’s noses was no cakewalk either. So if there’s anything we have learned from the Br azilian’s transfer, it is the fact that Madrid can pull off the toughest of transfers.
