A surprising report from Mundo Deportivo has emerged, saying that former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is aiming to resume his coaching career from the 2024/25 season with the hope of landing a good job.
Interestingly enough, the publication also mentions that the former France midfielder is not ruling out the possibility of joining Real Madrid once again.
He would be more than happy to return to the Spanish capital if Carlo Ancelotti does not renew his contract.
Zidane is very eager to make a return to coaching after marking nearly three years since he last departed Real Madrid for the second time.
Now, it must be noted that despite his absence from the field, he has actively involved himself in other professional activities.
Back in 2022, he was close to joining Paris Saint-Germain after Mauricio Pochettino had just departed. Additionally, the French national team also seemed like a plausible destination, but Didier Deschamps decided to extend his contract.
It is said that Zidane aspires to coach his national team once, but beyond the international stage, he has explored opportunities with several top European clubs and even entertained the idea of returning to Marseille.
Currently, Zidane has declined all these options, but this stance is temporary as he has decided to reengage with the coaching arena.
This re-entry is slated for the 2024-2025 season, during which he aspires to take the leadership at one of the prominent European clubs.
Real Madrid, the club where he attained unparalleled success as a coach with a remarkable collection of 11 trophies across two tenures including three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles, are not excluded from his considerations.
However, everything hinges on what Ancelotti decides. At present, there is nothing concrete.
While the Br azilian association is confident of acquiring him, the manager has denied every news linking with the South American team.
