Transfer rumours

Real Madrid identify four major objectives to execute in 2026

Real Madrid are already thinking long-term, with reports from Defensa Central revealing that the club have drawn up a detailed transfer plan for the summer of 2026.

The project, reportedly approved by club president Florentino Perez, outlines four major priorities designed to strengthen the squad and maintain their dominance in both Spain and Europe.

The first order of business is to secure the future of Vinícius Jr. The Br azilian star remains one of the pillars of Xabi Alonso’s team and is currently tied to the club until 2027.

Despite the recent turbulence, however, both the player and the board share a mutual desire to extend that commitment further.

It goes without saying that Real Madrid view Vinicius as a cornerstone for the next generation, and his renewal is expected to influence the club’s next big move – the search for a top-tier striker capable of complementing him and providing a more clinical edge in front of goal.

Beyond the attacking department, attention is also turning to the midfield.

The report claims that the club is exploring the idea of bringing back Nico Paz, who has been delivering standout performances for Como.

The young Argentine midfielder has impressed with his creativity and tactical intelligence, and his versatility, being able to play centrally or on the right, which makes him a valuable option for the future Real Madrid setup.

Defensively, the club is well aware of their current limitations.

The scouting department is said to be assessing the market for a physically dominant centre-back, someone who excels in aerial duels and can provide strength in high-intensity matches.

Names such as Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate have been mentioned as potential targets, with both defenders expected to become free agents in 2026.

If these plans come to fruition, manager Xabi Alonso will have a well-stacked roster to work with from next season.
