It has now been made official that Alexis Ciria, widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects to emerge from Sevilla’s youth academy, has completed his move to Real Madrid.
Notably, the highly-rated 18-year-old striker has signed for the club’s youth setup.
Ciria has long been viewed as one of the most promising young attackers in Spanish football.
Sevilla were keen to keep hold of him and made efforts to renew his contract, but negotiations failed to reach an agreement.
His representatives ultimately rejected Sevilla’s proposal, opening the door for Real Madrid to step in and accelerate their interest.
Shortly after the deal was finalised, Ciria publicly expressed his excitement about joining Madrid.
The forward shared an image on social media from inside the club’s facilities, underlining just how meaningful the move is for him.
Alongside the photo, he published an emotional message reflecting both gratitude and ambition.
"I am very happy to have reached an agreement with the best club in the world and to have signed my first professional contract."
"I would like to thank Real Madrid for the trust they have placed in me, and above all, my family and You First (his agency); without them, none of this would have been possible. It’s a dream come true."
"I am looking forward to starting to do great things for this club. Hala Madrid," reads the player’s message.
It is said that Ciria’s renewal talks with Sevilla had reached a dead end well before the transfer.
Despite being under contract until 2027, there was no meeting point between the two sides. As a result, Real Madrid’s interest intensified to the extent that an agreement was reached even before the summer window.
The plan is for the striker to use the final six months of the season to adapt quickly to Madrid’s environment, facilities, and playing style.
