Manuel Pellegrini insists he can handle the pressure of being Real Madrid coach.
The Chilean is in Santiago this weekend for a break and was asked by local reporters about his situation.
"I know that in Madrid there is always pressure, but the critics do not affect me at all," he said. "I spent five years at Villarreal and I could see what was going wrong with (Fabio) Capello and (Bernd) Schuster . It is very difficult to be subjected to this questioning."
"But I know nothing about the criticism because I do not read newspapers, but the press has always been very demanding with Real Madrid."
