The Bayern Munich playmaker has admitted there are many big clubs he would like to join, but Los Merengues top the list.
Franck Ribery has further enhance his reputation as one of Europe's premier midfielders with some stunning displays for Bayern Munich both in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League.
Despite missing the beginning of the campaign after sustaining a knee injury against Italy at Euro 2008, he has been instrumental in hauling Bayern back up the table after a slow start.
Naturally his displays have caught the attention of Europe's elite, and Inter Milan are known to be a long term admirer of his talents. But Ribery has admitted that Real Madrid is the club he dreams of playing with one day.
He said in an interview with 'Kicker' magazine, "Bayern are one of the most important clubs in the world and I feel good playing here."
"Clearly there are other clubs that make you dream - Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United. But I like Madrid for their story and history."
Ironically, Ribery's comments come as Bayern announced that they intend to initiate contract negotiations with the French midfielder to extend his stay in Germany beyond his current deal.
However it is thought that Bayern may be unable to retain the players' services for much longer as the former Marseille man wants to test himself in another top European league.
