Real Madrid captain Raul has confirmed Roma star Francesco Totti came close to joining the Spanish giants.
Totti has revealed this week that he said 'yes' to Real before being persuaded to stay at Roma.
Raul confirmed: "It looked as if he was on his way, then it went differently. I would have been honoured to play alongside Totti, as he is one of the best players in history."
“Any club would’ve been happy to have him in their squad.”
