Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo makes no apologies for his success.
Ronaldo confessed that he is not involved in football “to make friends” – only to succeed.
“Out of all the coaches I worked under, the only friendship I have is with [Sir Alex] Ferguson – no one else... I worked under Pellegrini and Ancelotti, with whom I get along really well. I’m not in football to make friends, only to triumph,” the player told TVI.
Cristiano acknowledged that there was “a bad atmosphere” during Mourinho’s three-year spell at Real Madrid:
“There was a complicated moment, in terms of personal relationships and with the club. There were situations with other players and also with the fans,” he recalled.
