Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini could try again to seal the transfer of Real Madrid playmaker Isco.
The Chilean worked with Isco at their old club Malaga and notably tried to make him one of his first signings when he made the move to City in 2013.
The 23-year-old is unsettled at the Bernabeu due to a lack of first-team football and the Daily Mirror claims City could be ready to pounce.
Although Isco does not want to force an exit, he is said to be unhappy with his current role at the Bernabeu and may be reluctant to enter talks over a new contract with his current club.
The Spaniard is a fan favourite at Real and was even applauded off by his fans at the weekend after his sending-off in the 4-0 defeat to Barcelona.
