Arsenal are facing a battle to keep their hands on Laurent Koscielny amid Real Madrid interest, according to reports.
The Champions League holders are preparing to lose highly-rated centre-half Raphael Varane this summer amid interest from Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
As a result of Varane’s possible departure, Los Blancos have been forced to look for centre-half alternatives as Zinedine Zidane attempts to strengthen his defensive options.
According to French media outlet Foot Mercato, Madrid are lining up an offer for Arsenal defender Koscielny in what will be a concern for Arsene Wenger and Gunners supporters.
The 30-year-old has been a mainstay of the Arsenal manager’s side over the past few seasons but Madrid are ready to offer £21m to lure the French defender away from The Emirates.
Koscielny has scored 20 times in 248 appearances in all competitions for the north London side over the past six seasons at Arsenal.
