Real Madrid will reportedly double Zinedine Zidane’s salary from €2.7m to €5.5m in light of their Champions League triumph last season.
According to AS, Zidane will be rewarded for his work in transforming Madrid’s 2015-16 campaign, which appeared headed for disappointment under Rafa Benitez.
Despite Zidane’s improved terms, however, the former midfielder will still lag behind Carlo Ancelotti, who earned €7.5m in each of his two years at the club.
Zizou was promoted to the role of Madrid Coach back in January, having been in charge of the Castilla side, and signed a contract until 2018.
