Gareth Bale could be on his way out of Real Madrid after falling out with both manager Zinedine Zidane and president Florentino Perez, according to reports in Spain.
The former Tottenham winger is said to be upset with the pair after promises made to him last season by Perez have not been followed up this term.
Perez promised he would give Bale a new contract to be in the same wage bracket as the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo but so far no talks have taken place.
Similarly, he was told he would become the focal point of the team and usurp his Portuguese teammate as Real Madrid’s leader.
However, when Madrid saw their 16-game winning streak end with the 1-1 draw against Villarreal, Bale was reportedly unimpressed that he was the first person to be replaced by Zidane, despite the Welshman feeling he had done more to remain on the pitch than either Ronaldo or Karim Benzema.
Spanish outlet GOL claim Bale has become uncomfortable in Madrid and if growing tired of being sacrificed when the team are chasing a goal.
They also suggest Bale and Ronaldo had an on-field argument with Ronaldo after he failed to pass to the former Manchester United star and the pair wouldn’t even look each other in the eyes.
Manchester United are Bale’s preferred destination should he leave the Spanish capital, with the Old Trafford club willing to pay more the £100m for him before he signed for Madrid.
