Raul De Tomas announced that he has extended his contract with Real Madrid for five more years. The club has not published this deal on their website but considering that De Tomas has not been a permanent member of the first team just yet, they thought it wasn’t necessary.
"We all have dreams. Mine started when I was eight years old and I joined the club. I knew that every step I took would lead towards reaching my dream: being a Real Madrid player. I will be five more years in the club of my life. THANK YOU. Hala Madrid," wrote De Tomas on his Twitter account.
De Tomas has completed a brilliant season with Rayo Vallecano, being the undisputed leader of his team while allowing Rayo to make their return to Primera Division. It will be interesting to see what new coach Julen Lopetegui has in mind, but it looks like De Tomas could be a backup striker next season like Mariano two years ago or Mayoral this campaign.
