Chelsea have told Real Madrid that it will not be easy for them to seal a deal for Eden Hazard this summer.
According to The Mirror, Chelsea will not be bullied into selling Hazard, and they could reject an offer of £170m.
Real Madrid are thought to be preparing an offer in the region of £170m, which would make Hazard the second most expensive player of all time, behind Neymar.
The report claims that Chelsea are hopeful of tieing Hazard down to a new contract with the club.
A new deal worth £300k-per-week is set to be put on the table by Chelsea once Hazard returns from his holiday – following his exploits for Belgium at the World Cup this summer.
Real Madrid are, however, still expected to complete the signing of Thibaut Courtois before the end of the transfer window next month.
