Real Madrid are set to offer Chelsea £70million for Eden Hazard as they begin the process of trying to lure the Belgian star to the Bernabeu.
Chelsea will almost certainly reject the opening bid as they want at least £100m for their prized asset, but Real want to make a statement of intent.
According to The Sun, representatives from Real have already visited London to begin talks on signing Hazard, who has made no secret of his admiration for the Spanish giants.
The return of Zinedine Zidane, who won the Champions League three times with Real, has only increased the probability they will pursue Hazard this summer.
Hazard, 28, has turned down several contract offers from Chelsea that would have made him the highest-paid player in club history.
The Premier League club are increasingly resigned to losing Hazard this summer.
Coach Maurizio Sarri said prior to their 5-0 Europa League win over Dynamo Kiev on Thursday night: "You have to ask Hazard [about Zidane] I think."
"I don't know at the moment. I didn't speak with Eden about Zidane."
"I am not worried because you know my opinion. I want only in my team players who want to play for Chelsea, so I can't be worried."
