The striker wants to stay but a big offer could change his mind.
Real Madrid striker Mariano Díaz has received an offer to leave the club and join Monaco, according to a report from MARCA. The attacker wants to stay in Madrid and compete with Jovic and Benzema for minutes, but he hasn't played a single game this preseason and a big offer could change his mind, per that same report.
Mariano was expected to be a solid backup this past season after completing good performances with Lyon back in the 2017-2018 campaign. However, the striker wasn't able to stay healthy and ultimately didn't get minutes. He doesn't have room in the current roster after Madrid decided to sign Jovic and it's clear that he should accept Monaco's offer if he wants to play.
Monaco want to sign a striker and were close to complete a deal for Andre Silva until the club found an issue on his knee. Falcao appears to be ready to leave Monaco and Mariano could be his replacement, as he has valuable experience in the French Ligue 1.
