Luka Jovic addresses claim of prospective loan move from Real Madrid

The Serbian striker has touched on the subject of potentially leaving Los Blancos on loan despite joining a few months ago.

Luka Jovic addresses claims of prospective loan move from Real Madrid Real Madrid's new signing Luka Jovic has laughed off talks that he could be sent out on loan despite moving to Spain just this summer. Contrary to reports, the 21-year-old Serbian international has insisted that head coach Zinedine Zidane believes in him.

Jovic joined Los Blancos from Eintracht Frankfurt on a six-year deal for a fee which could well exceed €65 million. Having scored 27 goals in all competitions for the Bundesliga club last season, the striker has been tipped to succeed the aging Karim Benzema in no time.

Nevertheless, the ex-Benfica star is yet to impress since completing his switch and recent reports suggest that Zidane is unconvinced about the player's ability. As a result, the French manager is considering the prospect of sending the player on loan in order to prove himself worthy of leading the line for the men in white.

Jovic has debunked the uncertainty around his future by stating that he firmly remains in the plans of Real Madrid for the new season.

" Zidane believes in me and his story has not changed during this time as we work together," he told Novosti.

"I am learning from him day by day, which I am very pleased with, because he, as a player and as a coach, is at the very top of world football."

"The media always make me laugh," he added.

"They will always deal with such stories [about me leaving Real Madrid]. I have been used to all kinds of comments since the beginning of my senior career, I have come to terms with the fact that there can always be those comments. Time will tell what is true."

"I'm ready to give the maximum and offer everything I can. I don't even expect to play all of the games right away. However, through work and effort, I will reach my goal."

"I am pleased with the way the club have accepted me, I wish I could have scored at the start, but I am in no hurry. I know my time will come."

"It takes time to adjust to the club, the players, the style of play itself. I prefer to constantly contribute to my team and grow with it than to shine in a few games without me being anywhere. Each of us is different, adapting in different ways."

Luka Jovic marked his debut for the Real Madrid by featuring in the final minutes of the 3-1 win over Celta Vigo on Saturday.
