Real Madrid, Sergio Ramos reach agreement in principle for two-year extension

According to El Larguero.

Real Madrid and Sergio Ramos have reached an agreement in principle for what will be a two-year contract extension for the Spanish defender, according to a report from Cadena SER’s El Larguero. Both sides want to announce the deal before the end of 2020 but could decide to wait until the Christmas break, per that same report.

If this report is accurate, Ramos would be getting the two extra years he wanted. Reports published early this week suggested that the length of this contract extension was the main issue, but it now seems that the two sides will come to an understanding even if there were some other rumors linking Ramos to Paris Saint-Germain.

Ramos is 34 years old and this contract extension means that he will retire as a Real Madrid player, having the opportunity to play at the new Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, something he considers quite important, according to some other reports published throughout the last few months.
