Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has hinted Brahim Diaz can yet have a future in Spain.
Diaz was sent on-loan to AC Milan for a second season this term. The arrangement overall will run to 2023. The young Spaniard has established himself as a key player in AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli's plans, the midfielder helping the club last season to qualify for the Champions League.
It's been suggested Diaz could cut his ties with Real Madrid. But Ancelotti has insisted placing the youngster at Milan was a decision taken with great consideration. Given the veteran status of several of the midfielders he's inherited, Ancelotti is keeping the door open to Diaz returning to Madrid.
Via Le 10 Sport, the Italian told Rai Radio 1: " Brahim Diaz? Real had no room and there was too much competition.
"We are happy that he is doing well in Milan. He had to play and he went to Milan "
"Not by chance, we know the structure of the club and the team."
So far this season, Diaz has played five games, scoring twice and producing one assist. Overall, he has played 44 games for Milan, scoring nine goals and producing five assists.
