Cristiano Ronaldo ‘willing to do a Dani Alves’ to secure dream move after Man Utd exit

Cristiano Ronaldo is prepared to take ‘minimum wage’ to secure a dream move back to Real Madrid after leaving Manchester United, according to reports.

He reportedly has a £173m-a-year offer on the table from Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Nassr but Ronaldo recently rejected that he had an ‘agreement’.

"No, that’s not true — not true," Ronaldo told reporters after a match at the World Cup.

But there has been a lack of concrete interest from top European clubs – where Ronaldo ideally wants to end up – and he is facing tough choices over his future.

According to Spanish publication Nacional, Ronaldo’s desperation has gone up a notch with claims he is ‘willing to do anything to wear the Real Madrid shirt again’.

He is even ‘willing to do a Dani Alves’ and ‘collect the minimum wage’ – which we imagine is a lot different to the minimum wage the average person would get – after the Br azilian took a low salary in order to rejoin Barcelona.

However, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez ‘has other plans’ with the Spaniard looking to carry on giving Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo the playing time they deserve.

Nacional add that Ronaldo ‘will not be able to resume his renowned career in Madrid and can only refer to the offers that he has in the mailbox’.

Ronaldo has probably damaged his reputation with clubs recently following his outburst to Piers Morgan and a couple of petulant incidents over the last year.

And former team-mate Gary Neville recently warned him that his career could come to a “scruffy end” unless he stops “sulking”.

"Well what happened at United, the suggestion was, it was because [Erik] Ten Hag was trying to make a move on him, he’s trying to establish his authority," Neville told ITV after Ronaldo reacted angrily to being substituted against South Korea at the World Cup.

"This is a manager [Fernando Santos] who’s got an unbelievable relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo for eight years."

"And there are a lot of fans of Cristiano Ronaldo who aren’t willing to tell him the truth. I think he does need to listen to the truth, that it’s becoming a little bit of a scruffy end."

"His long term legacy is set, he’s protected. He’s one of the great all time players but in the short term, he’s got to do a lot better."

"Is the Juventus manager wrong? The Manchester United manager wrong? And now is the Portugal manager wrong? There’s three of them that now have done the same thing with him."
