Real Madrid will face Albacete in the Copa del Rey’s Round of 16.
Albacete are currently 17th in the Segunda División table, having performed below expectations. Former Real Madrid player Jesús Vallejo is playing a relevant role there and actually scored the decisive penalty which secured Albacete’s presence in the Round of 16.
This will be a single-elimination game played in Albacete next week, right ahead of Real Madrid’s home match against Levante on January 27th.
All things considered, Los Blancos should probably make some rotations in this Copa del Rey game, especially if they can beat Atlético de Madrid on Thursday play for the Spanish Supercup title next Sunday.
