Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane will have two more transfer windows to revamp his squad and will sell some players as well in the New Year.
Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid has now gone unbeaten for nine games on the bounce and most of it must be owed to the Frenchman’s defensive organisation. The attackers have been amazing as well in a very well-balanced setup lately. Los Merengues are expected to give the Frenchman another year to overhaul his squad.
El Desmarque has claimed that the manager will be getting rid of as many as seven players throughout the year who he considers out of his plans. Zidane will also have a handsome budget to sign players of his choice, with Kylian Mbappe being head and shoulders above anyone else in the Whites’ transfer list.
As for the sales, Alvaro Odriozola and Nacho Fernandez are those who will most likely be shown the door from among the defenders. Dani Carvajal featuring as often as he has, has shown that Zidane lacks trust in Odriozola who has featured just four times this season. Nacho on the other hand has had injury issues constantly, thereby falling down the order.
From the midfielders, James Rodriguez and Brahim Diaz will be asked to find newer clubs. James did start off the campaign well, but Federico Valverde’s rise and injuries to the Colombian meant that he has lost Zidane’s trust once again. Brahim Diaz will be loaned out in January after refusing offers to leave during the summer.
The attacking department will see as many as three players leave. Lucas Vazquez, Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz have been excluded from the French manager’s plans. Vazquez’s injury meant that Rodrygo stepped up on the right wing and from now on, it is certain that the Spaniard’s chances would be limited, meaning that his best option is to leave.
Mariano has not even played a single minute this season, so it is in the best interests of the player and club that he leaves. Jovic on the other hand has scored just once in over three hundred minutes of gameplay, and since he has not lived up to the 70 million euros spent on him, Zidane might get rid of him before his stock falls.
