Jovic explains Real Madrid’s quarantine process

The striker spoke to Serbian newspaper B92.

Real Madrid attacker Luka Jovic has talked to Serbian newspaper B92 to explain what happened on Thursday morning, when the club cancelled all training sessions and sent the players home after a member of the basketball team tested positive for coronavirus.

"We went to train this morning but people from the administration of the club came and told us that we were not going to train or anything else for the next two weeks. We all have to stay home and not leave Madrid," said Jovic.

The attacker revealed that he has been using the same facilities as Trey Thompkins, the basketball player who tested positive for the virus.

"Since I got injured and didn’t train for the last two or three days, I’ve been using the same equipment a player with coronavirus used. I don’t have any symptoms though, I feel very well," added Jovic.

All members of Real Madrid’s squad have been placed in quarantine. Their next two games in La Liga have been postponed and the same happens for next week’s match against Manchester City in the Champions League.
